55-65 North Wharf Road and Telstar
These two sites are being completed by the architect Fletcher Priest. They are both situated either side of the railway station. As of January 2008, planning permission was granted for two buildings. One is a 240,000 square foot office block, and the other is a block of 100 flats.
The office block backs onto the canal, offering scenic and relaxing views. This is a big difference from the usual chaotic atmosphere London normally has.
10-50 Eastbourne Terrace
Further down into Eastbourne Terrace there have been major refurbishments. Nine separate, but adjoining, properties that had originally been constructed in 1959 were largely out of date, and at the end of their life. This is the location of the construction of a Crossrail station that is to the west of Paddington Station. A new entrance is going to be constructed for the mainline station and a new ticket hall will be constructed next to the canal.

Paddington Health Campus and St Mary’s Hospital
St Mary’s is one of the major teaching hospitals in England. In 2000, the NHS approved a plan for a Paddington health campus that would replace three of the run down hospitals. Unfortunately this plan was abandoned due to the increasing costs that would be required.
Instead, a £15 million upgrade of the QEQM wing was developed.
The Hilton London Paddington
The Hilton London Paddington is a hotel that forms part of the Paddington Station complex. It was originally owned by Great Western from 1854. The hotel got sold to the private sector. As of 2002, Murigold Limited gave it a $60 million refurbishment and it was officially rebranded as the HIlton London Paddington.
The Royal Mail originally closed their sorting office that was in Praed Street. In 2010 they moved the counter service to West End Quay. The current plan is to turn the building into a ticket hall for the Bakerloo line, as well as creating better access for the mainline station.
West End Quay
Two companies built three blocks of flats that are in the East End of the canal basin that were completed in 2003. West End Quay consists of 468 flats and 29,000 square feet of retail space.
